Li Choo is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner and a member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP).
She started her career in audit in KPMG and thereafter joined British and Malayan Trustees Limited (“BMT”) as one of the key management executives, responsible for finance, regulatory reporting, client relationship and business development and corporate secretariat matters. BMT is Singapore’s oldest trust company and is listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange.
Since 2009, she has been appointed as the country head of the Singapore office. Her area of focus includes corporate trust matters, structured finance, private wealth management, fund management services, succession planning and trusts. She is responsible and accountable for the continuing growth of the Singapore business, with key focus on managing strategic directions, operations and cross border business opportunities involving establishment and launch of funds and trusts. She also has oversight on the finance, compliance and risk management activities of the business.
She is a respected trust practitioner, having written and spoken on corporate trust related matters including REITs, Bonds and Funds. She has garnered over more than 20 years of experience in corporate and private trust matters including REIT IPO listings, debt listings and issuances, corporate restructuring, fund launches and private trust setups. She is also a qualified resident manager for the Singapore trustee business.
A long term resident of Singapore and with experience across a variety of Asian markets, Graham has the responsibility for business development and relationship management throughout Asia. With over 30 years in investment management, he has a deep and broad knowledge of the investment landscape across multiple asset classes. Graham maintains key relationships with a large variety of consultants, advisors and intermediaries which are invaluable to clients in both the establishment and ongoing servicing of their funds.
Graham has recently practised as a private consultant within the Asia Real Estate Fund Management industry. Previously he held senior positions with AMP Capital and Macquarie Bank across Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, and has served as an independent director on listed and unlisted property funds which have focussed on cross border investments.
Graham is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the Australian Property Institute, a personal member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ramesh is responsible for client relationship management, on boarding and complex transaction management activities of the Corporate Trust teams various fiduciary roles that include trustee, custody and debt capital markets services in Singapore and Australia. He is also a resident manager for Perpetual’s Singapore Trustee business.
His experience in financial services includes various roles across compliance, finance, operations, taxation, legal, governance, relationship and risk management, where he has overseen a number of challenging and complex public market transactions and played a leading role in the governance and supervision of listed (SGX and ASX) and unlisted trusts over various asset classes in Singapore and Australia.
Before joining Perpetual in 2010, he was with Suncorp Bank where he held a variety of roles over five years. His most recent role there was as Taxation Manager with a major tax advisory and compliance focus in their Australian fund management and financial markets division. Prior to this he was with State Street Australia in their tax division.
Ramesh holds Bachelor degrees in Law and Commerce from Macquarie University, a Masters degree in Law from the University of Sydney, is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in Australia and is a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
Benjamin is our Vice President, Finance and Operations, Singapore. He is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and is responsible for all financial and operational matters pertaining to the Singapore office, including client service, financial compliance, financial analysis, providing support on company secretarial matters and liaison with regulators on financial matters.
Prior to joining Perpetual, Ben was Head of Finance at one of Singapore’s largest brokerage firms, and also had 7 years audit experience at another large local firm.
